Question about the US Navy Enlistment vs. Officer?

i have an abusive home life, and really want to join the navy. i have wanted to for a long time. i have a question though... Should i enlist and do DEP to not ship out until after i graduate, or should i try and get a scholarship and do NROTC and try to go in as an Ensign? My father would pay for my college, but not if i did NROTC. i really want to be an officer..but no matter what i do, i will ruin my realtionship with my father. i am confused.
