Is there a parallel between left-wing euphemisms and right-wing euphemisms?
In the 60's, a few years before the term "rip off" became a part of the language, the word "liberate" was used to define the process of taking ownership, especially but not exclusively, community ownership, of goods without requiring the consent of the former owner. In 1981, we began to hear of a euphemism that defined the transfer of ownership from the community of taxpayers to the tax-avoiding corporate swindlers: "privatization." How do these terms differ in their morality, ethics, etc? Justify your answer without quoting snake-oil peddlers like Adam Smith or Milton Friedman.
