Help me with getting over bronchitis..10 points for best answer!?

I have bronchitis, doctor gave me a 5 day anti botic which I finished and now all I have is narcotic cough syrup I take @ bed time. I thought I was getting better, now I feel worse...please tell me how long it takes to get rid of bronchitis and what to expect..I was barely coughing anymore and now I am coughing horrible until I puke almost, goobs of clear white mucus, lungs ache etc.. I can't go back to dr until at least tomorrow please help me
